Position Summary

 The QA engineer role is responsible for managing all aspects of user acceptance testing and the quality assurance lifecycle pertaining to the RxSense. This includes end-to-end accountability for the testing quality of the user experience through visual inspection and functional testing against established QA principles, methodology and guidelines. This position requires the ability to oversee, manage and report out the status of manual test cases, execution of test scripts and defect remediation. Also, it should require hands-on, technical, and functional testing knowledge.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual functional test cases for QlikSense applications/dashboards.
  • Utilize Snowflake data warehouse to verify and validate data integrity between QVDs, QlikSense front end apps, and backend database tables. Must be able to write SQL queries for development of functional test cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of products. Should interact and collaborate with Data Analysts, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering team.
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings like – daily standup, sprint grooming and planning,
  • Analyze and build test cases and prepare test Review, create and maintain test cases, execute test scripts, participate in defect remediation and metrics reporting.
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of applications/dashboards built on QlikSense Analyze test results to predict user behavior, identify bugs and work with team to triage them.
  • Create and maintain documentation of test plans, test cases and testing

Requirements, and technical skills

  • Experience using test case management systems, like QMetry.
  • Experience using project management tools and documentation platforms like, JIRA, Confluence, Miro.
  • Experience working on Agile/Waterfall methodologies and SDLC
  • Hands-on experience on data visualization apps functional testing, writing SQL queries to validate data between front end app and backend database.
  • Ability to work with other developers and BI engineers, business end users, product managers, and QA engineers.
  • Experience working effectively in a team oriented/collaborative environment, with onshore, offshore and nearshore team.
  • Time management skills, with ability to multi-task while effec6vely managing time and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on detail-oriented

Minimum qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 + years of functional or manual testing experience in data and analytics engineering industry.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like QlikSense, Tableau, Power
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal
  • Candidates must be creative, self-sufficient, and
  • Must have problem solving and analytical skills and should look for and take advantage of opportunities and should seek increased responsibilities.

Salary Range: 115,000 - 135,000
