Sr. People Partner, Philippines

Manila, Philippines

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior People Partner to support our teams in the Philippines, serving as the primary People Partner to regional leadership. This role is critical in enabling planned growth by establishing strong people practices, building in-region hiring capacity, driving performance, and ensuring effective day-to-day HR execution in-region.

Given the current size of the regional team, this role will also own full-cycle recruiting for the region - partnering directly with GMs and hiring managers to build pipelines, run interview processes, and close candidates. This is a genuine hybrid HRBP + Talent role covering the full employee lifecycle from sourcing to offboarding. As the region scales, recruiting scope may be redistributed, but at this stage we need someone who can credibly own both.

This is a highly hands-on role embedded within the business. You will work directly with leaders to manage employee relations, improve team effectiveness, drive hiring outcomes, and own core HR processes, while also helping shape how the organization scales.

The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen and execution, with the ability to operate independently, influence leaders, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This role offers high visibility and direct impact on how teams grow and perform in a key international market.

Key Responsibilities

People Partnership

  • Serve as the primary People Partner for the region, partnering closely with regional leadership to align people strategy with business goals and planned growth
  • Drive retention and reduce attrition by proactively identifying talent risks and implementing data-informed interventions
  • Own and execute the end-to-end performance management lifecycle, including goal setting, 90-day reviews, performance cycles, and talent planning
  • Establish and reinforce a high-performance culture with clear expectations, accountability, and differentiation across teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and senior leaders, providing candid guidance on performance, organizational design, and employee engagement
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution, risk mitigation, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations
  • Operate as a hands-on partner across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day employee support
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates to support reporting, compliance, and decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to improve and scale People Operations processes, driving efficiency, consistency, and impact
  • Leverage HR systems and data to generate insights, inform decision-making, and enhance overall people practices
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment and execution of people initiatives across regions

Talent Acquisition

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for the region across functions and seniority levels, managing active requisitions from intake to close
  • Partner with GMs and hiring managers to scope roles, write job descriptions, define candidate bar, and calibrate through the process
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, networks, and in-region channels; build and maintain warm pipelines for critical and repeat roles
  • Design and drive a consistent, high-quality interview process — structured scorecards, interviewer enablement, and disciplined debriefs
  • Own offer strategy, negotiation, and closing; partner with Finance and Comp on levelling and offer structure
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance, source quality, pass-through rates) and use data to improve outcomes
  • Build employer brand presence in-region through candidate experience, content, and targeted community engagement
  • Own ATS hygiene (Greenhouse), ensure process consistency, and partner with the broader Talent team on tooling and standards

Required Skills / Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in an People Partner or Senior People Partner role, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth environments (ad tech, gaming, tech, or similar)
  • Hands-on, full-cycle recruiting experience — sourcing, closing, and managing requisitions across functions and levels. Candidates without genuine recruiting delivery experience will not be a fit for this role
  • Strong experience supporting international teams, with direct experience in the Philippines strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a hybrid HRBP + Talent partner, comfortable owning both people operations and hiring outcomes in parallel
  • Proven track record managing core HRBP responsibilities, including performance management, talent planning, and complex employee relations within local regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor, balancing strategic partnership with day-to-day execution
  • Experience coaching and influencing senior leaders, with the ability to provide direct, candid feedback and drive decision-making
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and employment practices, with the ability to navigate compliance and mitigate risk effectively
  • Experience driving process improvements and scaling people programs in growing organizations
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR, Lattice, CultureAmp) and applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby), and using data to inform decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
