Manager, Analytics
Role Overview
Manager of Analytics team is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving regional analytical excellence, focusing on the China analytics pod (comprising Analysts/Senior Analysts/Team lead), and establishing rigorous operational governance. This role perfectly balances deep technical mastery with macro-level organizational orchestration and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will not only hold end-to-end accountability for the revenue health, pacing, and optimization but will also design and streamline the regional organization's operational rhythms. This role requires an elite professional capable of transforming highly fragmented big data into structured executive narratives, leading high-ambiguity cross-functional initiatives, and institutionalizing global analytics standards at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities
-
Operational Rhythm Design: Establish, optimize, and govern the internal operational cadences of the regional team (e.g., managing master priority matrices, structuring advanced sync agendas, and driving accountability on cross-functional deliverables).
-
Executive Narrative & Insight Synthesis: Aggregate and translate volatile big-data performance metrics, regional macroeconomic movements, and systemic anomalies into highly structured, forward-looking strategic briefings and dashboards for executive leadership.
-
Cross-functional/Regional Representation: Represent the Analytics organization in high-stakes cross-functional alignment sessions, complex client escalations, and global strategic forums, ensuring regional execution perfectly aligns with global business objectives.
-
Special Strategic Initiatives: Directly spearhead complex, high-ambiguity projects from discovery to institutionalization (e.g., leading the regional rollout of next-generation optimization frameworks or overhauling analytical tool metrics).
-
Talent Elevation & Mentorship: Direct line management of the China Analytics team. Coach Senior Analysts to transition from tactical, account-level tweaks into systemic business and architectural thinking, while scaling the baseline capabilities of Junior members to build an elite regional bench.
-
Quality Assurance & Auditing: Synthesize localized best practices into scalable internal playbooks and enforce strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) through regular campaign spot-audits.
Required Skills / Experience
-
5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, programmatic advertising, or performance marketing ecosystems (DSP infrastructure knowledge is highly preferred).
-
1-2+ years of formal people management or clear team leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing senior individual contributors.
-
Advanced Organizational Orchestration: Exceptional ability to manage complex tracking matrices, coordinate cross-functional alignment rhythms, and independently execute operational goals under high ambiguity.
-
High technical proficiency in SQL with deep experience auditing massive data pipelines and constructing sophisticated visualization models using Python/R or BI tools (e.g., Sisense, Tableau).
-
Systems Thinking: Strong capability to build early-warning data signals, map operational vulnerabilities, and translate technical complexity into clear, executive-level business decisions.
-
Flawless bilingual communication and presentation skills (Fluent English and Mandarin) to engage confidently with both global engineering teams and C-level stakeholders.
