IMPORTANT: This posting is for current undergrad or graduate students who are available to work for 3 - 6 months starting in May/June 2025.
Position overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated individual to join our team as a Valuations Analyst Intern/Co-op in Toronto. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting the Valuation function within Finance and, more broadly, across the Sagard global platform to ensure compliance with the applicable governance standards, enhance stakeholder communication and assist within the commercial decisions framework.
Responsibilities:
- Support valuation process across various asset classes including private equity, private credit, venture capital, and holding company investments
- Contribute to strategic and ad-hoc projects such as analyzing fund performance, business combinations and other initiatives.
- Conduct investment valuation analysis through collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
- Assist in research, data visualization, and the creation of presentation materials and reports.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; enrollment in finance, accounting or a related field is an asset
- Strong academic record
- A strong passion and /or interest in finance
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in an entrepreneurial environment where things change constantly
- Strong quantitative skills and experience with financial modeling
- Prior work experience in data analytics, valuations, private equity, alternative asset management, professional firm or a related field is an asset
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive team player
- Excellent spoken and written in English; Working knowledge in French is an asset.
