Position Overview:

Sagard Private Equity Canada LP is focused on partnering with Canadian mid-market companies to accelerate their growth path and assist them on their quest to become market-leaders. Our CAD$407 million fund completed its fundraising in 2022 and has so far completed four investments, Lou-Tec (leading Canadian provider of heavy machinery and specialized equipment rentals), Courchesne Larose (leading North American specialty fresh produce distribution and logistics provider), Norbec (leading Canadian manufacturer of prefabricated walk-in coolers and insulated metal panels), and PakFab (leading designer and manufacturer of mission-critical returnable solutions for OEMs). With offices in Montreal and Toronto and a diverse team of investment professionals, Sagard Private Equity Canada focuses on three verticals: Business Services, Manufacturing and Financial Services.

We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join our fast-paced and rapidly growing Canadian Private Equity Fund as Intern in our Montreal or Toronto office, from May to August 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Supporting the team in the screening of investment opportunities 
• Assisting in the due diligence of new investment opportunities
• Participating in company valuation and investment structuring
• Supporting the team in financial modeling of new opportunities 
• Supporting the team in preparing memos for the fund’s Investment Committee
• Supporting the team in portfolio management on various analysis

Experience & Qualifications:

• In the second or third year of the Bachelor of Business Administration program
• Previous internships in private equity, venture capital, investment banking and consulting are a plus
• High academic achievement
• Fully bilingual (French and English)

Nous recherchons actuellement des individus exceptionnels pour rejoindre notre Fonds de Placement privé canadien qui grandit rapidement, axé sur le marché intermédiaire, en tant que stagiaire dans notre bureau de Montréal ou Toronto, de mai à août 2026.

Vos responsabilités:

• Appuyer l'équipe dans l'analyse préliminaire des opportunités d’investissement. 
• Assister l’équipe dans la vérification diligente de souscription de nouvelles opportunités d'investissement
• Support à l'évaluation des entreprises et à la structuration des investissements
• Support à la modélisation financière des nouvelles opportunités
• Soutenir l’équipe dans la préparation de mémos destinés au Comité d'investissement 
• Assister l’équipe sur les diverses analyses liées à la gestion de portefeuille

Expérience et qualifications:

• Être en 2e ou 3e année d’un programme universitaire
• Expérience professionnelle de stage pertinente (placement privé, capital de risque, banque d'investissement, conseil) est un atout
• Excellents résultats académiques
• Entièrement bilingue (français et anglais)
