Senior Systems & Operations Analyst (Data & Analytics)

Sage is on a mission to improve care and quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living facilities. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death among adults over 65. And yet, fall prevention and emergency response systems for older adults are archaic and ineffective. At Sage we've built a more modern way of understanding when older adults need help, including methods for residents to alert caregivers when in need of help, and corresponding software for caregivers to triage response. Our company mission is to create a product that our client counterparts love, and this role is a key part of that objective.

Sage is a small, tight team of ambitious, multi-disciplinary entrepreneurs. We are a software-enabled, mission-driven company, and are focused only on the problems that are central to achieving that mission. At Sage, we work hard and fast but also know that to build a truly important company, we need to treat our work as a marathon, and not a sprint. The journey matters.

About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Systems / Operations Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, supply chain or hardware operations to join our Data team. We are on a mission to reimagine the hardware development and sustainment processes from the ground up with focus on using software and automation to maximize insights, and minimize the amount of repetitive work our team needs perform. You will work closely with our Hardware Design and Operations teams to design and develop device-specific software tools, metrics, monitoring, support, data visualization, to provide internal and external insights into the health and performance of our hardware fleet. We are continually improving and automating our device logistics, deployment and maintenance models, and your output will directly contribute to the success of our product implementations and enterprise client expansions. You will be collaborating to define and shape our hardware analytics offering, developing customer and user experiences around hardware management, and identifying outliers before they become an issue to our users as a pivotal role in our high-growth company.

Your day-to-day will include identifying and surfacing data needs, conducting in-depth analysis on existing data sets, performing in-depth process evaluation to determine areas and to automate standard repetitive workflows, and developing insightful reports that support our hardware strategy and operational needs. As part of a growing Data team, you will also help us make our hardware and operational data more useful and accessible to our internal teams for effective decision making and knowledge sharing.

Analytical mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and great cross-functional communication are hard requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Hardware Design and Operations teams to understand and define data needs.
  • Reporting: Create, maintain, and improve comprehensive reports and dashboards to support internal and external hardware operations initiatives.
  • Operations Analysis: Perform detailed ad-hoc analyses to answer specific operational questions and inform decision-making.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy and integrity of data across all hardware reports and analyses.
  • Best Practices: Contribute to the development and implementation of hardware operations analytics best practices within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate analytical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional data analysis experience in retail, supply chain or hardware operations
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable supporting non-technical teams to reach their goals and managing expectations.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on delivering results.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter spirit: You will be expected to actively identify, prioritize and solve for the needs of different internal and external clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience with IoT devices and sensor data
  • Professional experience with hardware lifecycle processes, support, sustainment, hardware quality monitoring, and engineering input to new product development
  • Experience with hardware deployment, configuration management, fleet management, and maintenance operations
  • Experience with operational metrics and KPI development

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
