Samsung is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Partner, with a demonstrated full understanding of Employee Relations and passionate on providing a great workplace experience. This critical role will design, enhance and drive innovative HR solutions and programs that will help us transform and scale for our new fab in Taylor Texas.

Our Employee Relations team’s primary initiative is to create a positive work experience and connect our workforce; by strengthening the employee and manager relationship. We provide guidance on company policies, practices, employment laws, performance issues, conduct complex internal workplace investigations, off -boarding and also advise on promoting an engaging culture.
This role is on-site 5 days a week at the Austin, TX office location.
Specific Job Duties:
This role will promote positive employee relations and handle HR/ER activities for various business.
•Serve as a trusted advisor to resolve challenging people issues including performance coaching, employee behavior, conflict resolution and providing leadership consultation.
•Assist with development and delivery of appropriate feedback or corrective/disciplinary actions.
•Review and conduct complex internal investigations, voluntary and involuntary terminations.
•Maintain required documentation including intake and investigation notes, supporting documents and final reports and/or evidence of action taken.
•Ensure equitable and consistent treatment of employees, provide policy interpretation, and make recommendations on employment actions.

•Integrate and collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Legal and COE teams to implement solutions.
•Work with the business on highlighting key trends in employee relations and actively drive process improvement.
•Training - Assist with development and delivering of training workshops/classes for leaders and employees
•Consult with Legal, Compliance, to ensure policies and practices comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
•Assists with the interpretation and updating of Company policies and responding to inquiries and concerns.
•Provide ER Metrics, assess where action can be taken to mitigate company risk; present data to HR Leadership and business leaders along with thoughtful solutions.
•Project management - Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (on site 5 days a week)
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations or other related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a human resource function, preferably two (2) years in an employee relations role
Preferred 6+ total years of experience with 3-5 years at the partner, generalist or specialist level; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Direct employee-facing experience
Preferred: SHRM and/or HRCI certification is preferred/encouraged
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
o Must have advanced knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
o Concentrated specialty in employee relations;
o Proven experience conducting internal HR investigations at all levels;
o Results focused with the ability to develop relationships in a distributed workforce.
o Experienced at supporting a large client group.
o Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
o Project management experience and experience driving programs independently.
o Analytical and data management experience/Advanced Excel-Pivot Tables/Macros
