Position Title: Mental Health Technician

Location: Cascade, CO 

Schedule: Full Time & Part Time Schedules Available | MHTs work 12.5 hour shifts

Compensation: $17.00-20.50 Per Hour | Dependent on Shift and Location

 

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage daily floor activities and transport clients to and from scheduled activities.
  • Monitor clients constantly and work with nurses and other staff to ensure their safety.
  • Assist with mealtime setup, light laundry, room cleaning, and grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct admission and discharge processes for new and existing clients, including paperwork, drug and alcohol tests, skin checks, and inventory searches.
  • Perform regular safety checks on clients every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on their risk level.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Candidates must have 2 years of college education OR a high school diploma with 1 year of experience in the human services field
  • Candidates must be First Aid / CPR Certified prior to first day of employment 
  • Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders - strongly preferred 
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or mental health - strongly preferred
  • A valid driver’s license with no restrictions - Must be willing to transport clients in a 15-passenger van.
    • Upon hire candidates will need to submit/pass a full background check including fingerprinting, and a Motor Vehicle Report to qualify for employment
