2025 Corporate Strategy Summer Intern

The Role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a diverse group of talented students to join Schonfeld. Corporate Strategy & Transformation at Schonfeld oversees the execution of the firm’s highest priority strategic initiatives across our Investment, Operating and Management Company Platform areas. 

Our team members work closely with the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to build alignment and drive change across the organization. Our mission is to develop and create transparency on the firm’s most mission critical strategic plans.

You will join our Corporate Strategy & Transformation team as a Summer Analyst responsible for turning ideas into results. You will develop strategic roadmaps that outline important milestones, requirements, and impact points of large cross-functional projects.

What You’ll Do 

You will work as a Summer Analyst, alongside senior team members to assist with the planning and orchestration of key priorities across the organization. You will be introduced to our firm’s “Path Forward” framework to set and track the firm’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). You will learn how Schonfeld fosters an approach towards planning across the individual, team and organizational level.

This is a prime opportunity to gain domain experience across different functional areas supporting the Front, Middle and Back Office as well acquire valuable exposure to real-world problems intersecting finance and technology. You’ll also get a fundamental understanding of system workflows, problem analysis and stakeholder management.

What You’ll Bring

What you need:

  • A curiosity for learning and a passion for defining problems and implementing solutions
  • Excellent organizational, communication and listening skills
  • A desire to learn more about Enterprise Project Management and Requirements Formalization
  • Basic understanding of the Stock Market
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word skills
  • A keen, analytical eye with a high regard for attention to detail using Data Analysis
  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Info Systems

We’d love if you had:

  • Experience with Data Visualizations/UI Design
  • SQL, Python and any other programming/database querying language knowledge/coursework

Our Internship

The Schonfeld summer internship provides students with a unique opportunity to experience Schonfeld, our work, our people, and our culture. Interns will typically join a small team and will spend 10 weeks at Schonfeld from June - August.

Each summer intern will work on a tailored project that will provide them with real world experience.  We provide all interns with a dedicated mentor and manager to help them navigate the summer successfully. Interns will also participate in our learning program, the Sapphire: Summer Session, which aims to provide tangible skills training and education on various functions across the firm and in the workplace. Along with the hands-on guidance and support from managers and mentors, interns will participate in weekly networking events, engage with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Alliance, attend panel discussions, and have many opportunities to get to know Schonfeld’s core values in practice.

The annual base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000-$115,000 which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications and experience and level of education.
