Reports to: Legal Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research on federal and state healthcare regulations, employment laws, corporate compliance requirements, and other legal matters relevant to the dermatology industry.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist with responding to regulatory complaints, including gathering documentation, preparing draft responses, and ensuring timely submissions.
- Compliance Program Support: Assist with the intake, tracking, and investigation of compliance incidents in collaboration with the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Direct Communication and Partnership with Operations Management on Legal, Regulatory, Compliance inquiries.
- Litigation Support: Assist with oversight and tracking of litigated and pre-suit matters, including coordinating with outside counsel, managing discovery, and maintaining legal files.
- Contract Support: Support intake and tracking of contract review requests, including initial document review and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Medical Records Requests: Review and approve medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA and applicable state laws.
- Administrative Support: Perform administrative and project-based tasks as assigned by the Legal Operations Manager and Chief Legal Officer, including scheduling, file management, reporting, and policy tracking.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- 3+ years of experience as a corporate or healthcare paralegal preferred.
- Strong legal research skills using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and state/federal databases.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA , healthcare regulations, and civil litigation processes.
- Experience handling regulatory complaints or working in a compliance/legal department is a plus.
- Strong interest in compliance operations and incident tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments, or similar).
- Experience with contract lifecycle management platforms a plus (e.g., LinkSquares, Ironclad).
Travel
While primarily a remote position, employee is required to attend monthly in office cadence. From time to time, additional in-person team meetings may be required as well.

Salary Pay Range
$70,000 - $85,000 USD
