What we’re looking for…
ScienceLogic is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify defects, optimize testing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be doing…
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and automated testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- BDD Framework Implementation: Utilize Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber, Behave, or SpecFlow to enhance test automation.
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide technical guidance on best practices for testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software and hardware functionality.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues in various environments.
- Continuously explore new testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance testing effectiveness.
Qualities you possess…
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in software or hardware testing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in testing tools, scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.), and automation frameworks.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, SpecFlow, etc.).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
