About the Work
- Work in tandem with the Regulatory Compliance Manager, as well as department stakeholders, to draft and review internal controls related to the operation of our online sportsbook and interactive casino;
- Maintain oversight of patron complaints received by state-gaming regulators and appropriately track, investigate, and draft responses to complaints received;
- Monitor and investigate operational and procedural compliance relevant to internal controls, complaints, regulatory reporting, and applicable regulatory requirements;
- Prepare and submit internal and external reports, identifying any issues in the reporting prior to submission to applicable parties;
- Assists with the development and maintenance of compliance record keeping activities, reports and systems;
- Attend state-gaming regulatory body meetings, virtually and telephonically;
- Help identify areas of non-compliance in relation to the operation of our online sportsbook and interactive casino;
- Draft and finalize standard operating procedures for various tasks owned by the Regulatory Compliance team;
- Proactively identify and anticipate issues that may negatively impact the business and assist in making the necessary changes by implementing operation-based solutions;
- Perform regulatory reviews across 20+ jurisdictions, identifying consistencies and nuances across each;
- Collaborate with other departments, as needed, to support the organization’s needs;
- Draft and summarize meeting minutes to present to the Regulatory Compliance team, as well as department stakeholders;
- Adhere to and comply with all company policies and procedures;
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance;
- Other duties, as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree, preference in legal, audit or regulatory related field, or commensurate gaming or financial industry experience;
- 2+ years of work experience within a similar role. Experience in the Gambling industry is a plus;
- Ability to review, comprehend, and communicate regulatory standards and changes effectively across internal stakeholder departments and state-gaming regulatory contacts, respectively;
- Strong ability to formally document and evaluate the effectiveness of necessary business processes pursuant to new and established regulatory requirements;
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with members within the organization, as well as work independently to complete tasks, as assigned;
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills paired with a thorough attention to detail;
- Able to effectively communicate with excellent execution to ensure the achievement of personal and company objectives;
- Experienced in gathering and analyzing requirements to recommend effective, complaint business solutions;
- Experienced in collaborating with development teams to deliver timely solutions to external stakeholders, including state-gaming regulators, auditors, and third-party service providers;
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business; and
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
