About the Role
As an Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our financial operations, supporting payroll and accounts payable to keep our organization on track. Your work ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, impacting every department across the company.
What Your Success Will Look Like
- Payroll Support: Maintain and verify timesheet records, assist in biweekly payroll processing, and handle employee pay data using ADP.
- Vendor & AP Management: Work with vendors, code invoices, and support the Accounts Payable team with weekly tasks.
- Financial Operations: Prepare reconciliations, run reports, support month-end close, and assist with state payroll tax correspondence.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Communicate with teams regarding expenses, reimbursements, and financial processes.
- Special Projects & Growth Opportunities: Participate in system implementations, acquisitions, and other high-impact accounting projects.
Who You Are And What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, or accounting
- Skills:
- A love for numbers, data accuracy, and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and ADP Workforce Now (a plus!)
- Excellent communication skills—because numbers tell a story, and you’ll help us share it!

- The base salary range is $55,000 (entry-level) - $60,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
