Seattle Reign FC is a prominent professional women's soccer team competing in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). POSITION SUMMARY
As the Social Media Specialist for Reign FC, you will be the voice behind our social media channels, engaging a global fanbase and deepening connections with both loyal and new fans. You’ll bring stories to life by identifying, creating, and sharing engaging content across various platforms, with a focus on growing and strengthening Reign’s fan community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute day-to-day social media initiatives by developing and posting content on the club’s primary social channels, including: Facebook, X, Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and others
- Monitor and engage communication with fans across all social media platforms in real time
- Have a strong handle of fan sentiment across our social platforms at any given moment
- Assist with shared responsibilities of social media, web, and matchday contributors on Reign matchday.
- Provide real-time coverage across social and web of Reign events, community initiatives, and other team events, with the goal to produce compelling content that catches fans’ attention
- Independently film, edit, and produce short-form vertical videos optimized for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, utilizing trending sounds, effects, and transitions to maximize engagement.
- Actively engage with players, team staff, and other departments to create organic, behind-the-scenes content that builds authentic connections with fans.
- Collaborate with the team to bring a unique, passionate voice to all digital content, demonstrating enthusiasm for the sport and the club.
- Actively participate in the content creation and planning process by identifying interesting storylines and opportunities. Must be comfortable being proactive in seeking out and pitching content opportunities
- Work closely with Marketing, PR, and Content teams to align messaging and maximize cross-channel impact, bringing fresh ideas to brainstorming sessions
- Develop innovative social programs in coordination with Marketing, Social Impact, and Corporate Partnership Departments that strengthen the club’s brand
- Manage and maintain the monitoring and analytics systems to track social media engagement and results
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years managing social media for sports or entertainment brands, with a proven record of engaging audiences and meeting objectives.
- Passionate about soccer with knowledge of the sport and culture for authentic fan engagement.
- Deep understanding of social media trends, platform-specific nuances, and digital storytelling, with a natural ability to engage and grow online communities.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office, with an eye for on-brand, visually compelling content.
- Experienced with project management (Wrike, Asana) and social analytics tools (Blinkfire, Zoomph) to track and optimize strategies.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere or After Effects a plus for video content creation.
- Proficiency in mobile-first video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Rush, etc.) and a strong grasp of platform-specific best practices for TikTok and Reels.

- Adaptable and responsive in crafting timely, high-quality content for real-time events.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills under tight deadlines, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Organized, tech-savvy, and proactive in refining workflows and using new tools to improve efficiency.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with players, team staff, and internal departments to enhance content collaboration.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA and Reign home matches at Lumen Field.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
