Us

We are a microbiome science company pioneering innovations in probiotics and living medicines to impact human and planetary health. Founded to realize the potential of microbes, our platform enables the translation of breakthrough science across a portfolio that encompasses both indication-specific and preventive applications across gastrointestinal and digestive health, women’s health, skin and dermatological health, oral care, pediatrics, gut-brain function, metabolic function, and nutrition.

Our consumer innovations are commercialized under Seed® with a mission to bring much-needed precision, efficacy, education and perspective-shifting science communication to the global category of probiotics. And our environmental research is conducted under SeedLabs, which was founded to develop novel bacterial interventions to enhance biodiversity and restore ecosystems impacted by human activity. LUCA Biologics, our women’s health biotech company co-founded with Dr. Jacques Ravel, develops living medicines targeting the vaginal microbiome for urogenital and reproductive health.

Founded in Venice, CA with a global team across Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, Seed Health was co-founded by Ara Katz and Raja Dhir, alongside a scientific board comprised of leading scientists, researchers, and clinicians across the fields of microbiology, immunology, bioinformatics, dermatology, oral health, vaginal health, gastroenterology, mental health, pediatrics, and nutrition.

You are a wonderful hybrid: a creative storyteller, systems thinker, dot-connector, brand steward, detail-obsessor, content-ecosystem-builder and most critically, endlessly curious about science and culture. You’ve challenged the status quo to create, build, and evolve purpose-driven, category-defining, stand-for-something content; and have used educational storytelling to build passionate and loyal communities along the way.

In an ever-expanding sea of misinformation and an increase in health conditions and symptoms that impact more and more of the population, finding truthful information and making good choices for one's health can feel paralyzing, especially when it comes to probiotics. At Seed, we believe education itself is an intervention—simply empowering people with foundational learning emboldens our community to make sense of their bodies and the impact of their choices. This is your why. You are energized by the opportunity to create narratives that “meet people where they are,” and are unafraid to explore new content mediums to do so. You think in long form and short form, rap verses, poetry, Zines, and everything in between and understand it’s about speaking to people in the way they want to be spoken to.

You’ve built and managed world-class content teams, overseeing functions including copy and editorial, content strategy, content studio, regulatory compliance, and quality control. You also come with a network of freelance creators that will follow you anywhere because you’ve inspired them to create their best work. You are a hyper-collaborative, highly-energetic individual with the capacity to think on their feet and operate with effective, superior, clear direction.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
