We are currently seeking a talented and team-oriented Summer Intern – Operations and parts Production. The ideal candidate will be supporting activities in our pilot plant as well as participating in the planning of the first parts production factory. Expect to wear many hats in this highly collaborative, fast-paced startup environment, as you will be involved in all aspects of development. This is an opportunity to be part of a world-class team, leveraging and expanding the capabilities of the fastest 3D metal printer in the world!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop SOPs and training activities for printing and post-processing areas.
  • Use commercial software such as Solidworks, Autodesk NetFabb, and Materialise Magics to support process engineers to prepare printing files.
  • Support systems engineers on testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities on the pilot plant.
  • Develop traceability processes to be implemented for raw materials.
  • Support Industrial Engineers on optimizing existing layouts and future manufacturing spaces leveraging design and simulation tools.
  • Support engineers in designing fixtures used in different process areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights necessary for comprehensive analysis and modeling.
  • Develop models and methodologies for scenario planning to be used for different applications.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in Seurat’s manufacturing process to minimize environmental footprint.
  • Prepare succinct, accurate reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Currently or recently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Operations Research or other relevant technical fields.
