This is an exceptional opportunity for a rising junior or senior undergraduate student, or a graduate student, with prior exposure to the investment industry to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects to gain hands-on experience in investment/fundraising activities and internal financial planning and analysis. The intern will gain unique insights into the fundraising process, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to developing financial models, due diligence, presentation development, and gaining valuable experience in financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting in-depth financial analysis and modeling.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Support the preparation of investment research reports and presentations.
- Help with the due diligence process for potential investments.
- Maintain and update financial databases and records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to investment strategy discussions.
- Support the preparation of internal financial reports and analyses.
- Assist in updating project spend reports and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and research tasks as required.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with rising junior or senior standing. Graduate students in relevant programs are also encouraged to apply.
- Prior internship or work experience within an investment firm, asset management company, or similar financial institution is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, investment principles, and capital markets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including financial modeling) and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
