As the Director, Human Resources Business Partner, you'll partner with business and People & Culture (P&C) leadership to build people strategy for your client group. You'll design and deliver the programs that develop world-class talent — performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, and workforce planning — alongside targeted initiatives that help your business groups outperform their strategy. Your bias for action and thought leadership will position your teams to win in a fast-moving environment.

The Director, Human Resources Business Partner will collaborate closely with global functional leaders, regional P&C colleagues, and COEs across talent access, talent acceleration, and total rewards.

SharkNinja's leadership team moves fast — decisions are made in real time, sensitive matters are handled face-to-face, and trust is built through visible, consistent presence. This role is built for an HRBP who wants to be embedded in the business: on the floor, in the room, and available when leaders need them.

The Director, HR Business Partner will be the trusted advisor across organizational design, change leadership, management coaching, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy, and employment law compliance — the strategic point of contact for your client group.

This is a hybrid role based in our Needham, MA office 3 days per week.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the operations leadership, driving P&C strategies that support business objectives, foster innovation, and enhance organizational effectiveness. Build deep, sustained relationships with senior leaders through consistent presence and proactive engagement.
  • Align the P&C agenda to the corporate strategy and the key business drivers for the business unit supported.
  • Shape talent strategy for your client groups — build the leadership pipeline, run succession planning, and drive end-to-end strategic workforce planning in partnership with the business.
  • Lead change. Drive P&C initiatives and process improvements end-to-end, and champion SharkNinja's culture through how we hire, develop, and retain talent.
  • Coach and mentor associates at every level — as an integrated member of the business unit, not an outside function.
  • Design the organization. Partner with leaders to build structures, processes, and cultures that drive agility and high performance. Facilitate in-person workshops, leadership offsites, and team effectiveness sessions.
  • Use data to drive change. Analyze people trends, surface complex issues, identify capability gaps, and recommend the programs and structural changes that close them.
  • Shape the talent development agenda. Diagnose capability gaps and partner with the Talent Development team to design, broker, and deliver the programs that close them.
  • Communicate P&C policy changes clearly across your business units and champion cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee local compliance with employment law and regulations across teams and geographies.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging P&C technology to accelerate analysis, improve decision-making, and scale people programs across your client groups. Champion a tech-forward mindset within the P&C function and model responsible, effective use of AI in daily work.

Attributes & Skills:

  • At least 8-10 years of HR experience with a blend of business partnering and talent management/development focus, including organizational design and effectiveness, team building, performance management, career coaching, and leadership development.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Global experience desired; consumer products industry highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Effective working across functions and levels to deliver business results.

  • Self-directed and collaborative — equally effective owning the work and partnering across the team to get to the best answer.
  • Fluency with AI and modern P&C tech (generative AI, analytics platforms, HRIS) — and a bias toward using it to scale your impact.
