Product Manager

Overview

Manage new product development projects, provide technical expertise on appliance products, and lead development activities from concept through production processes. Visualize and conceptualize new ideas, research concepts and products, and perform objective market and financial evaluations of new products.

Initiate and track development schedules as a project leader to meet customer/project timeline goals.  Independently responsible for assigned projects, coordinating tasks with other departments, clear and effective communication with the customer, and maintaining schedules to assure completion. Develop product support literature and materials, such as operation, installation, and quick start guides.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and complete new product planning sheets by independently coordinating new product specifications, strategies, timelines, target costs and competitor analysis. 
  • Develop and prepare product support items such as show samples and product literature such as operation & installation instructions, specification sheets, and other product document materials.
  • Develop and maintain detailed development schedules (Gannt charts) including agency, first lot orders, tooling, show samples and printed material requirements. 
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams during project development process for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and participate in new product release meetings to ensure all Marketing/Sales/Product Planning issues are complete.
  • Contribute to pilot run review, preproduction review, and authorization meetings to ensure all necessary parts, quality, and customer requirements are satisfied prior to product launch. Review new products prior to first shipment to ensure quality and customer goals are satisfied.
  • Participate in PSI meetings and discuss current customer activities. Check plan versus actual production and sales per customer
  • Participate in Product Planning meetings and propose ideas/concepts for future planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or another related field.
  • Must have 3 years of applicable experience or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to lift, carry, and package parcels. Ability to package and ship products/samples as required. Must be able to walk moderate distances in warehouse and in production environment.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.

$40,639 - $76,199 USD
