The Senior Data Analyst is a pivotal role within our organization, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our Pricing Strategy, Billing Operations, and Data Analytics, especially in merging data from our recent company acquisitions. Your contributions will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives and expanding our global presence. By providing valuable insights and ensuring pricing accuracy, you will directly contribute to our executive leadership's decision-making process. This role is based onsite at Shift4's headquarters in Center Valley, PA. Relocation assistance may be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Eventually lead a team of Data Analysts and manage reporting initiatives.
- Utilize SQL, Tableau, and other BI tools to provide actionable insights.
- Partner with executive leadership to influence and set financial strategies.
- Provide effective leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Manage and validate data in SQL databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Develop centralized data repositories following new acquisitions, streamlining data management processes.
- Synthesize data accurately, efficiently, and cohesively, enabling informed decision-making.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze and present financial information effectively.
- Employ database applications like Access and Tableau to visualize data and generate insights.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support financial decision-making.
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats, presenting complex financial information clearly.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that encourages knowledge sharing and growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst / Data Engineer or similar role.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL to include building SQL databases and performing data transfers and migrations.
- Experience in data mapping, data cleansing and financial modeling.
- Experience leading team project(s) from the ground up.
- Strong ability for analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical area or experience in lieu of a degree.
Additional experience that is a plus to have:
- Accounting, auditing, process management or financials.
- Experience in Tableau, Python or R.
