Shift5 is seeking a Head of Finance to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and driven finance leader responsible for overseeing all financial operations for our growing company. This role will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, responsible for financial planning, analysis, accounting, and team management.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key financial advisor to the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and driving financial performance in alignment with company goals.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial models. Analyze key business metrics, provide insightful reporting, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Accounting & Operations: Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, audit preparation, tax compliance, and internal controls.
  • Team Management: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Cash Management: Optimize cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes to support company growth and financial objectives.

Experience :

  • Proven experience as a finance leader in a high-growth company. Experience with SaaS and/or hardware manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  
  • Pre- and post-IPO experience, with a track record of scaling businesses to over $100M in revenue.
