ABOUT THE ROLE
The Watch Repair Technician is responsible for reworking and repairing watches throughout all stages of the assembly process to ensure product quality and consistency. This role plays a critical part in improving yield, supporting operator training, and minimizing production downtime. The Watch Repair Technician also supports assembly operations as needed to maintain cycle times and on-time delivery, ultimately reducing the cost of poor quality and enhancing customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Watch Repair & Root Cause Support
- Rework rejects found throughout all stages of the watch assembly process.
- Inspect rejects from operators and quality gates, recording data for review.
- Support improved yield and faster root cause analysis.
- Systems Used: MS Access, SOPs
- Training & Process Support
- Train assemblers on operations.
- Review SOPs and submit process improvement ideas based on technical expertise.
- Support operator efficiency, yield improvement, and reduced turnover.
- Systems Used: SOPs, TWI training methodology
- Assembly Operations Support
- Support production by working at assembly operations as needed.
- Maintain on-cycle staffing to ensure on-time delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required
- 3+ years of experience in watch assembly
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly
- Experience working with SOPs, training methods, and basic operational systems (MS Access preferred)
