Carrier Claim Specialist

Title:  Carrier Claim Specialist 

Location: Remote - India 

Role Description:

The Carrier Claims Specialist will work as part of the Merchant Care Team. As the Carrier Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving carrier claims. This role requires working with our partner carriers, including but not limited to FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, and OSM to settle claims by understanding carrier claims processes, carrier contact information, and updating the necessary claims data and tracking for timely resolution.  

What you’ll do:

  • Investigate data and relevant information to consider a claim's validity and eligibility.  
  • Enter and track claims within a claims software system. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchant Care teams when more information or data may be needed from our merchants to file completed claims. 
  • Escalate and collaborate with the Claims Lead. 
  • Ensure timely and constant follow-up with partner carriers on all open claims through to completion and final determination. 
  • Manage all updates for each claim in our claims system, following all documented SOPs to ensure accuracy. 
  • Provide timely claims resolutions and process internal payment requests. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to improve efficiency and further automation. 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 1-2 years' experience in claims management, preferably a logistics background. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Experience with Salesforce. 
  • Ability to evaluate and understand standard operating procedures and effectively apply claim handling. 
  • Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal to communicate clearly and effectively. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with a passion for investigation, follow up and documentation. 
  • Motivated problem solver. 
  • Experience in a KPI driven organization, in a fast paced, high-volume role.
