Role Description:
We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team! As a key member of the Supply Chain Operations team, you will be responsible for deriving actionable insights from technical data research to guide our internal team members in making critical judgements. Your advanced analytical skills will help identify and troubleshoot errors by drilling into outliers within the data, working closely with internal stakeholders to implement effective solutions. You will also collaborate directly with key stakeholders to understand their data needs, providing support and insights to drive business moves.
You’ll help with ad hoc research on critical business initiatives and develop creative solutions to help ensure our merchants have a smooth fulfillment experience. You will become an expert on all things data at ShipBob, and work with our other data team members to streamline and optimize our workflows. This role reports to Senior Manager, Supply Chain Analytics.
What you’ll do:
- Be the Data Expert: Serve as the subject matter expert for your assigned area of the business, developing deep expertise in the related data, tools, and processes. You will be the go-to resource for questions, guidance, and support within your domain.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, translate business questions into analytical solutions, and provide tailored insights to support critical decisions, while balancing and prioritizing competing requests effectively.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to investigate issues, identify outliers, and provide actionable recommendations for sustainable reporting and to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Analyze Trends and Metrics: Use advanced technical skills to identify trends, evaluate performance, and generate insights that drive improvements across operations.
- Develop Reporting Solutions: Build and maintain self-service dashboards and reporting views that empower teams to access key data and make informed decisions independently.
- Communicate Insights Effectively: Translate complex findings into clear, concise insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support action-oriented decision making.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements related to data collection, reporting, and analysis. Stay current with best practices and technologies and maintain clear documentation to support long term knowledge sharing.
- Other duties/responsibilities as necessary to support the success of the Supply Chain Operations team.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics.
- Excellent research skills and problem solving required.
- Solid communication skills with an ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI. Experience with Python is strongly preferred.
- Supply chain experience is a must.
