THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a full-time Technical Sourcer that reports to the VP of Operations and partners with the Talent Acquisition team to achieve recruitment objectives. The successful individual in this role will spearhead the identification, engagement, and nurturing of top-tier technical talent for Silvus’ priority positions. In partnership with key stakeholders, this role will have ownership of the search strategy, proactive outreach campaigns and initial candidate assessment, ensuring the continued flow of high-quality candidates through the process and the creation of a strong talent pipeline.

The Technical Sourcer position will be based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA and is on a hybrid schedule; a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

 ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Candidate Sourcing - leads effective sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and nurture passive technical or corporate talent for mission critical priority roles by utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Dice, ATS, and/or Boolean searches, Google Patents, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and/or niche platforms. Proactively direct sources passive candidates via targeted resume / candidate database searching, networking, outreach, and employee referrals.
  • Pipeline Development - develops effective engagement strategies to market our opportunities and build and maintain a strong pipeline of company aligned passive candidates through proactive outreach, research, social media recruitment marketing, online communities, and networking.
  • Relationship Management - builds and maintains a network of passive candidates and understands and implements on-going relationship management efforts to maintain connections with relevant prospects and candidates.
  • Candidate Experience - champions an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring every interaction reflects Silvus’ commitment to quality and attention. Engages incoming talent as their first point of contact for Silvus and actively advocates for candidates by aligning their skills and motivations with the needs of specific teams within Silvus.
  • Screening & Interviewing - provides an initial screen and high-level assessment of a candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities and overall fit for a role within Silvus.
  • Additionally, supporting the recruiting team in social media recruitment, Hiring Manager and HR partnering & collaboration, university recruiting events, ATS/TA process improvement, and reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in working in Talent Acquisition / Recruiting within a technical industry.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical sourcing or full cycle recruiting within a search firm / agency or fast-paced high-tech environment with a focus on manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or technology.
  • Superior candidate sourcing and research skills with expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Dice, Boolean search operators and x-ray searches, Google Patents, GitHub, and/or Stack Overflow.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workday Recruiting
  • Demonstrated client interaction experience, including working with Hiring Managers and Directors, reviewing profiles, calibrating resume screenings, and updating pipeline progress.
  • Clear and effective communication with candidates to identify top performers and understand motivation, drivers, deliverability, and fit within the organization.
  • Experience managing various funnels and levels of candidates and keeping track of their progress throughout the recruitment process.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging passive candidates and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of technical roles (e.g., software development, hardware engineering, digital design, etc.).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

 PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience sourcing for niche roles (e.g. FPGA /RTL Design, AI/ML, Embedded Security, RF Design Engineering, Cybersecurity, Defense Business Development, Sales Engineering, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of complex engineering principles and the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to candidates.
  • Proven experience in talent sourcing or agency recruitment with success in utilizing a range of direct sourcing channel mixes, synthesizing talent data into actionable insights, market research and competitor intelligence, and compensation analysis.
  • Experience with recruiting tools (e.g. Calendly, Textio, SeekOut, Hunter, etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical job profiles, e.g. Software Development, Hardware Engineering, R&D, Product Design, Sales Engineering.
  • Thrive in a fast- paced, frequently changing environment, and are results driven and always operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent time and project management skills to prioritize multiple roles at different recruitment stages.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and adept in research skills to understand role requirements, talent pools, competitor intelligence, recruiting trends, and talent insights.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
  • Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.

COMPENSATION

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

CA Pay Range

$70,000 - $80,000 USD
