Manager, PLG & Agent-led Growth

People no longer have to learn complex systems anymore. They ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor and then let them set it up for them. Supabase says over 60% of its new databases are launched by AI tools, and agent-created databases at Neon are at 80%.

SingleStore is still built for a person clicking through our portal. AI & Agents do not reach for us often enough, and when they do, they struggle to sign up, load data, and get to a working query without a human. That is the problem this role exists to solve.

You will own product-led growth and agent-led growth at SingleStore. That means making SingleStore the database that AI answer engines recommend, that agents pick, and that agents and people can get running on their own data in minutes. You will also turn that usage into revenue through data & product-led sales.

You will report to our VP of Growth, work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer and product team, and have visibility into the CEO. On the growth team, you will partner with our Senior GTM Engineer, Lifecycle Ops, and marketing team members.

Role and responsibilities:
Own agent-led growth end to end: agent preference (agents know, trust, and pick SingleStore) and agent experience (an agent can sign up, set up, load data, and reach a working query without our UI).Own answer engine optimization (AEO) strategy so ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity name and cite SingleStore correctly, and turn those findings into content, docs, and product work.
Drive AI-assisted onboarding with product to ensure users have the option
Write PRDs and work with Product, Engineering, Design, and Docs on the work that makes us agent-ready: our MCP server and its listings, connectors and integrations with AI app builders, and docs an agent can follow.
Improve the journey from web to sign up to self-serve revenue
Run product-led sales with our SEs and Sales team: use trial and on-demand usage signals to start conversations that deliver value, like a tuned query, and turn them into pipeline and revenue.
Create or direct technical content that drives AEO and agent preference, such as sample apps on GitHub, technical videos, and database comparisons, with our content team.
Help drive product marketing positioning across marketing campaigns
Define hypotheses, run experiments, and report on the growth metrics that matter: MQLs, active users, agent-created orgs, AI share of voice, and new logo pipeline.
What success looks like in your first 90 days
SingleStore's mention and citation rate in AI answers is up across our tracked prompts, with correct positioning.
SingleStore is listed where agents look for tools, including the official MCP registry and AI connector directories.
Agents complete most steps of a headless SingleStore setup, locally and in the cloud, and we can report agent-created orgs as their own segment.

Position requirements:
5+ years in product management or product marketing, growth, or technical growth roles, with at least 2 years in product-led growth or self-serve B2B software
Hands-on with AI agents and coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and MCP. You build prototypes yourself, even if you vibe code them
A track record of shipping onboarding, acquisition, or monetization experiments with measurable results
Proficient with AI tooling
Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and product analytics tools like Mixpanel
Able to write clearly and lead R&D
Understands how developers evaluate infrastructure, and how SEO, AEO, and technical content influence that evaluation
Excellent communication skills, able to work across Product, Marketing, and Sales and synthesize insights for executives
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where curiosity and a bias for action are valued
Flexible schedule, as teammates work across PST, CST, EST, GMT, and WET time zones
Nice to have: experience at a database, data infrastructure, or developer tools company, or with product-led sales
