ABOUT THE TEAM

SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by helping government and commercial organizations overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats, simulating adversaries and malicious actors to deliver actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

The Space Account Lead will serve as SIXGEN’s senior strategic leader for the national security space enterprise, driving growth across U.S. Space Force, Air Force, SDA, NRO, NGA, and related mission partners. This role is designed for a proven executive who can operate at the highest levels of government, engaging General Officers, SES executives, and mission owners with credibility and insight.

The Space Account Lead will be the leader responsible for the running and successful delivery of programs related to SIXGEN’s work in the SPACE AOR, closely collaborating with other business leaders and capability business areas to ensure seamless execution and enterprise alignment. This individual will not only expand SIXGEN’s space business portfolio but also shape the broader conversation on mission challenges and solutions, ensuring SIXGEN is positioned as a differentiated, trusted partner where others fall short.

By combining thought leadership, enterprise capture expertise, and mission understanding, this leader will be a primary driver of outsized enterprise value for SIXGEN in one of the most critical and rapidly evolving domains of national security.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Serve as the senior customer engagement lead across the full spectrum of U.S. space missions, building and maintaining trust-based relationships with senior decision makers, including General Officers, SES executives, and mission leaders.
  • Shape and grow the enterprise book of business by identifying and qualifying new opportunities across the space ecosystem, anticipating needs well before competitors and advancing them through the business development lifecycle.
  • Act as a thought leader by articulating forward-leaning perspectives on space mission priorities, operational challenges, and capability gaps, bringing differentiated solutions that others are not solving.
  • Develop strategic capture strategies and execution plans, leading teaming discussions, shaping requirements, and positioning SIXGEN for major program wins.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery leaders to design tailored solutions aligned with evolving mission demands in space, cyber, and information warfare.
  • Sustain senior-level relationships post-award, ensuring mission success, identifying opportunities for growth, and reinforcing SIXGEN’s reputation for excellence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of related defense, intelligence, or cyber operations experience, with demonstrated success engaging senior space and defense leaders (USSF, USAF, SDA, NRO, NGA, or related organizations).
  • 5+ years of proven business development and capture experience, successfully shaping and winning competitively awarded prime contracts or OTAs within the DoD or Intelligence Community.
  • Track record of building senior-level relationships and driving enterprise growth across complex mission areas.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. space mission areas, priorities, and evolving capability requirements.
  • Familiarity with DoD and IC space, cyber, and information warfare operations.
  • Ability to translate mission needs into innovative, actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence at the highest levels.
  • High emotional intelligence and reputation for customer focus and thought leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred); equivalent operational or business development experience considered.
  • Current TS clearance (SCI preferred)
  • US Citizen. 
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more.
  • Based in or able to travel to Maryland/Northern Virginia.
