We combine innovation, deep expertise, and cutting-edge capabilities to uncover vulnerabilities, protect vital systems, and ensure operational superiority in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  •       Position: Red Team Operator-Lead
  •       Job Type: Full Time
  •       Location: Remote
  •       Clearance Requirement:TS/SCI

WHAT YOU’LL DO

SIXGEN is actively seeking candidates for a senior developer lead on RTAI for the Phase III period of performance. The role is approximately 70% hands-on engineering and 30% delivery management — coding along- side the senior architect to ship SOW Task 3 (security hardening and verification) and Task 6 (operator-support enhancements), while owning sprint cadence, ticket management, and packaging of deliverable artifacts and verification evidence for the government customer. The successful candidate will come up to speed quickly on RTAI’s stack and assume primary IC responsibility for assigned deliverables within the first 30 days.

Responsibilities include:

  •         Implement Task 6 enhancements across RTAI’s Node.js/Express backend and React/Vite frontend (prompting library, context management UX, workflow guidance, report production, ac- count/permission improvements, PCAP analysis workflow polish, framework-feature configurability)
  •         Deliver Task 3 security remediation work: authentication-endpoint rate limiting, encryption- at-rest for sensitive tables and on-disk artifacts, workspace-isolation hardening at the database layer, container-capability tightening, CSRF protections
  •         Own day-to-day sprint cadence: backlog grooming, ticket management, sprint planning, and status reporting to internal leadership and the government POC
  •         Produce and package deliverable artifacts and verification evidence per SOW requirements (Task 3 verification test cases, Task 6 operational-utility evidence, PCAP accuracy/repeatability characterization)
  •         Maintain code quality through reviews, testing discipline, and mentorship of any junior contributors
  •         Collaborate with the senior architect on requirements decomposition, technical design, and prioritization

Technology proficiency includes:

  •         6+ years combined technical experience across software engineering and IT systems
  •         Strong modern JavaScript (ES6+) with backend service development experience
  •         React (or comparable modern SPA framework) with current production deployments under your belt
  •         PostgreSQL or comparable relational database, including schema design and migration management
  •         Docker and containerized deployment workflows; CI/CD pipeline ownership
  •         Git, branch-based development, code review discipline
  •         Agile/Scrum delivery experience: sprint planning, backlog management, retrospective ownership
  •       Linux server administration in production environments
  •         Application security fundamentals: authentication, role-based access control, encryption at rest and in transit, OWASP Top-10 awareness
  •         Strong written and verbal communication, with demonstrated ability to package technical deliverables for government or regulated customers

Preferred / Will-Train-On

These reflect RTAI’s specific stack. The right candidate is expected to ramp on these within the first 60 days; prior exposure to any of them is a strong plus but is not disqualifying if absent:

o     Node.js / Express server-side development

o     LLM application development against Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Ollama SDKs

o     Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases (LanceDB, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Milvus, ChromaDB)

o     LangChain or comparable agent/orchestration frameworks

o     Prisma ORM, WebSocket-based real-time features (Express-WS), Tailwind CSS

o     GraphRAG and graph databases (Memgraph, Neo4j)

o     Cybersecurity tooling integration: PCAP capture and analysis, MITRE ATT&CK framework, Kali Linux toolchain, Ghostwriter, GitLab API integration

o     Embedding-model and reranker pipelines (Xenova transformers, sentence-transformers, Cohere, etc.)

SIXGEN offers a competitive executive compensation package, designed to reflect the outsized impact and enterprise value creation expected of this role. The final package will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to lead strategic growth.

Additionally, SIXGEN offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including:

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
