Job Overview:
SK hynix is seeking a highly experienced Paralegal to provide critical legal and regulatory support for our new cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, Indiana. This role is essential in managing the foundational legal operations, compliance workflows, and documentation required for a major semiconductor investment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-stakes corporate environments, assisting counsel in navigating complex legal frameworks and ensuring seamless coordination between our Indiana operations and global offices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist/lead the administrative and procedural aspects of establishing the Indiana facility, including managing construction contracts, procurement documentation, and operational permits
- Review and organize commercial agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts under the supervision of Corporate Counsel
- Monitor and analyze legal, regulatory, and industry trends, including federal regulations affecting semiconductor operations, to draft comprehensive reports for management review
- Translate business requirements into formal legal terminology for contract drafting
- Support management in maintaining relationships with federal, state, and local agencies by preparing necessary filings and compliance reports
- Manage all day-to-day administrative duties of the legal team, from invoice and expense processing to document archiving and general operational team support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department (or both)
- Demonstrated expertise in contract lifecycle management, legal research, and corporate filing and docketing procedures
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to summarize complex legal matters for various stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a paralegal in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
- Demonstrated expertise in contract lifecycle management, legal research, and corporate filing and docketing procedures
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to summarize complex legal matters for various stakeholders
