About The Role
Reporting to the FC Manager, as the Warehouse Supervisor in our e-commerce fulfilment facility you will be responsible for leading the team of operators in tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping our products accurately and efficiently. As the site 2IC, you will take an active role in ensuring the team is supported throughout business operations and will take on responsibilities for escalating issues to the broader organisation as required in the FC Managers absence. Initially this role will primarily be conducted within normal business hours but will also be required to accommodate evening shifts as required.
In this role you will:
- Provide effective team leadership: lead and motivate a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide operational oversight: supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
- Maintain a focus on quality: ensure that all products are handled, stored, and shipped in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Be a health & safety champion: promote and enforce health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety checks and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in Fulfilment Centre Operations: collaborate with other departments to assist in the overall running of the fulfilment centre, ensuring all operational needs are met. Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and engage relevant internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to process improvement: you will proactively work with Operations Excellence to identify opportunities for process improvement within the warehouse and contribute ideas to enhance overall efficiency and quality of service.
We think you will need:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a warehouse supervision or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Working with people is what you enjoy most about your role.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in basic software packages such as Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate changing operational needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. You don’t shy away from engaging others, even if it is communicating challenges and problems to solve.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
- Forklift certification (desirable).
- First aid certification (desirable).
