Senior Product Designer
What We’re Looking For
As a Product Designer for SKUTOPIA, you’ll work from concept through to production to help make sure that we are going to absolutely delight our customers, add value to the business and uplift our design practice.
Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for the full UX/UI design process so you can expect to be doing things like:
Conducting user and market research to determine what problems should we be solving
Turning concepts into wireframes, mockups and prototypes that deliver exceptional user experiences, solving long standing problems in new and unique ways
Running solution validation and usability testing to inform design iterations and improvements
Collaborating meaningfully with your Product, Engineering and other stakeholders through discovery and delivery
To be successful, we think you’ll need at least 4-5 years experience under your belt, and experience using Figma (or similar interface design tools). Experience in eCommerce, logistics or Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous.
If you think what we’re doing sounds interesting, we encourage you to get in touch for a chat.
And Here Are Some Reasons We Think You Might Want To Join Us
We think this is a pretty great role (but we are a little bit biased).
You are keen to build things the right way, taking a fresh look at problems and not being constrained by “this is how it’s been done before”
You’re looking for a role where you’ve got a good balance between support and autonomy, and will get useful feedback on your work.
We get that life happens, and we will continue to support hybrid work.
How We Work
We are fans of Marty Cagan and 100% believe in empowered product teams. Our initiatives have a discovery and delivery phase, and the trio (Product Manager, Product Designer, Engineering) work closely through these phases.
Most of the team work remote or hybrid, and we trust you to manage your time. We are very collaborative and communicative though, so if you need help, or can help someone else, then we expect you to reach out.
We keep track of what’s happening with Linear and Confluence, use Slack and Google Meet to stay in touch, and try to limit unnecessary meetings.
We have a monthly all hands business update, and make sure we find opportunities to call out great work, and celebrate our wins.
Recruitment process
If you don’t have a CV to hand, a link to your LinkedIn profile or other online presence (e,g. portfolio) is absolutely fine.
You’ll have a quick chat with a recruiter, followed by an interview that discusses your portfolio, skills and experience as they relate to the role in addition to a case study and then a final interview that is more about how you work, and our values. It’s a two-way process though, so we’ll take the time to tell you more about the role and team, and answer all your questions, and schedule additional chats if necessary.
Business Development Manager
In this role, you will:
Maximise Inbound Business potential: Convert incoming leads into new customers, utilise referrals, and upscale existing customers. Connect with and influence key stakeholders.
Drive Outbound Sales opportunities: Self-source new business leads through multiple ways, including networking, referrals, marketing activities, partners, and proactive research and target customers by cold and warm outreach over the phone, email, or LinkedIn.
Frequently meet new clients face to face to pitch/close new business.
Strive to overachieve your KPIs and proactively develop solutions when required, stay up-to-date about the competitive landscape and market shifts.
Use data to articulate the benefits of partnering with SKUTOPIA.
Be highly autonomous, in charge of your own diary and driven to deliver results.
Continually optimise for process improvements and ways to work efficiently by working closely with multiple stakeholders, feedback customer insights to the business to better our go-to-market, product features and marketing messaging and ensuring all customer interactions are recorded in our CRM (HubSpot).
We think you’ll need to be:
A sales gun: 3+ years in a business development or client-facing role, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment, with a track record of exceedig sales targets.
Data driven: comfortable reviewing data to show the cost and business bnenfits of partnering with SKUTOPIA.
Highly driven: motivated and the ability to get stuff done.
A people person: feel energised by coordinating a wide variety of people.
A great communicator: comfortable with speaking on the phone, often with many stakeholders.
A true team player: Desire to learn and to work with highly talented, skilled, and unique individuals.
A growth mindset owner: You love to look for new ways to improve, save time and do things smarter. You are keen to build new things from the ground up together with a fun and collaborative team.
A startupper at heart: You are comfortable with starting a project or task with incomplete information. You also understand that in scale-ups, things move and change quickly, so it’s essential to work with resolve while knowing that things could change within a few days.
