About The Role
As our HR Advisor, you’ll play a hands-on role at the heart of a fast-moving, high-growth startup. Reporting to the Head of People, you’ll be a trusted go-to for employees and managers alike—managing the day-to-day HR operations while helping us scale sustainably with purpose. From onboarding new hires, running payroll, to supporting performance and engagement initiatives, your work will directly impact the employee experience. We’re looking for someone who’s organised, people-focused, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
In this role you will:
- Be the first point of contact for all employee queries, providing timely and practical HR support.
- Own core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, leave management, and maintaining employee records.
- Support recruitment coordination—posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Ensure our HR systems are accurate and up to date, and support payroll preparation.
- Help maintain compliance with employment laws, WHS requirements, and right-to-work documentation.
- Assist with engagement initiatives, team events, and internal communication.
- Collaborate with the Head of People on projects including performance reviews, policy updates, and employee experience improvements.
- Support employee relations by guiding managers and employees through policies, resolving low-risk issues, and escalating complex matters where needed.
- Bring energy, curiosity, and a solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.
We think you will need:
- Solid experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment
- A strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and compliance basics
- Desire to learn and get stuck in
- Able to demonstrate professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Strong emotional intelligence and empathy skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
When you join us, you’ll be an important pillar of a rapidly growing startup. From day one you will be challenged to take risks, think big and make an impact while getting lots of love and support from the team. With our expected growth over the next 12 months, this is a role with plenty of breadth and variety where you can grow with us and be proud of what we achieve together.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, flexible working options, and an environment where you can do your best work.
