Cybersecurity Analyst - SSB

This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. 

 

This position is located in Arlington, VA and will be onsite 5 days a week. No hybrid/telework allowed. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Security Standards & Baselines (SSB) section within the Technology, Innovation, and Engineering (TIE) Office.
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance, streamline, and automate workflows.
  • Possess a strong technical background with expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including FISMA compliance, NIST SP 800‑53 Revision 5 security controls, enterprise application security configuration, CIS Benchmarks, and DISA STIGs.
  • Promote awareness of security issues among management and ensure that sound security principles are reflected in organizational goals.
  • Communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Perform extensive research, analysis, and documentation of security threat vectors.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to team members.
  • Develop bulletins, alerts, advisories, and security configuration baseline documents aligned with Departmental policy and industry best practices.
  • Ensure rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies and practices.
  • Evaluate existing, emerging, and modified technologies to develop recommended security configuration baselines using trusted sources such as DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and vendor security guidance.
  • Respond to technical and policy inquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, providing clear guidance and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain effective communication and alignment on cybersecurity standards.
  • Streamline processes to improve operational efficiency and support mission objectives.
  • Manage information and content within SharePoint repositories.
  • Maintain situational awareness of team activities to provide support and backup coverage as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; HS and an additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of bachelors degree.
  • Must possess, or obtain prior to start date, at least one of the following certifications (continued certification is required as a condition of employment):
    • CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security+ CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
  • Experience and expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including FISMA compliance, NIST SP 800‑53 Revision 5 security controls, enterprise application security configuration, CIS Benchmarks, and DISA STIGs.
  • Experience developing and executing research plans.
  • Experience working with Windows Server in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing Active Directory in a multi-domain environment.
  • Experience with enterprise application or server virtualization.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and strong business acumen.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
    • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with process automation - strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools and automation platforms to enhance workflows, analysis, and documentation efficiency.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience engineering or maintaining database infrastructure (SQL, Oracle).
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure AD, or cloud identity services.
  • Experience developing or managing virtualized IT systems.
  • Networking technologies expertise.
  • Experience configuring or administering enterprise mobile device deployments.
  • Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in an enterprise environment.

 

Compensation:

Salary Range: $90,000-$103,000

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
