Skylo provides anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.

This role is located at Bangalore, India where we are onsite at least 3 days a week in the office. 

Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - OSS/BSS Support to provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and operational expertise for our telecom OSS/BSS systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of platforms such as billing, CRM, mediation, provisioning, and charging systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, deep telecom domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and support business-critical services.

How You Will Contribute 

System Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide L2/L3 support for OSS/BSS applications including billing, CRM, mediation, and OSS.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues in a timely manner, including CDR/EDR processing and charging errors.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
  • Escalate complex issues to engineering teams with clear technical documentation.

Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor OSS/BSS applications to ensure availability, performance, and SLA compliance.
  • Manage incident response, ticket resolution, and on-call support for critical systems.
  • Automate health checks, monitoring, and reporting for billing and provisioning systems.
  • Participate in release management and production deployments.

Collaboration & Customer Impact

  • Work closely with product, finance, and business teams to resolve billing or provisioning discrepancies.
  • Partner with QA and engineering teams to validate fixes and new releases.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, FAQs, and runbooks for support teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for OSS/BSS platforms, mentoring junior support engineers.

Compliance & Assurance

  • Ensure system operations comply with regulatory and security requirements (TRAI, FCC, GDPR, PCI, SOC2, etc.).
  • Support revenue assurance and reconciliation activities to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Provide data and logs for financial audits and compliance reviews.

What We Look For 

  • 5–8 years of experience in OSS/BSS support or telecom system operations.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom billing, mediation, rating, charging, and provisioning workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Amdocs, Oracle BRM, Ericsson BSCS, NetCracker, or CSG.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database troubleshooting (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl) for automation and data analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in large-scale, high-volume environments.
  • Experience with ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow) and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)

Nice To Have 

  • Exposure to 5G and IoT/M2M billing and charging systems.
  • Experience with cloud-native OSS/BSS environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and middleware integration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
  • Certifications: ITIL, telecom OSS/BSS, or relevant vendor certifications.
