Slingshot Biosciences is looking for a Manufacturing Associate to join our operations team. This role will support the production team in the manufacturing of our proprietary cell mimics that are used in cell therapy. The work involves preparation of custom reagents, beads, maintaining electronic batch records and filling and packaging of finished goods. In addition, the Manufacturing Associate will coordinate raw materials requests, execute assigned activities by adhering to current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) and good documentation practices (GDP) with a quality mindset. The ideal candidate will have attention to details and enjoys working in a small, but rapidly burgeoning start-up.

This role reports to the Supervisor, Manufacturing.

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for producing innovative synthetic cell mimics and associated supporting products
  • Will interface with automated production systems in a controlled manufacturing environment,
  • Operates production equipment that may include formulation, synthesis, process monitoring, sampling, collection, purification, and quality control
  • Maintains detailed records and clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements utilizing current manufacturing practices, safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and eQMS system
  • Supports troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts
  • Conduct inventory management, shipping and handling support

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in a controlled biotech manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Able to multitask, plan and prioritize
  • Previous biotechnology experience with temperature and light sensitive samples is desired
  • Must have good communication skills, documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Self starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Punctual and willing to work additional hours if needed

Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. This position is non exempt. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $20-$35 per hour + equity + benefits.
