Sr. Financial Analyst - FP&A - GTM Funnel and Product Lead Growth - West
Smartsheet is a tech company with a human story to tell. We’re here to empower teams to manage projects, automate workflows, and rapidly build new secure solutions, using simple no-code tools. We’re revolutionaries – so for us changing the way the world works is all in a day’s work.
Smartsheet’s Finance team connects strategic vision with data-driven execution, empowering stakeholders to make high-impact decisions. We're looking for a curious and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team and lead financial insights related to our lead funnel — spanning marketing and product-led growth. This is a high-visibility role that brings structure and strategy to ambiguous data sets, aligning financial resources with business opportunities across the customer acquisition journey.
This remote-eligible role reports to the Director of FP&A with a preference to be located near the Bellevue, WA Headquarters and must reside in the Pacific time zone.
You Will:
- Own financial analysis related to Smartsheet’s lead funnel across Marketing and Product-generated sources — evaluating funnel performance through a financial lens.
- Build models and dashboards that connect funnel data to financial outcomes, including bookings, CAC, pipeline conversion, and ROI.
- Provide forward-looking insights to guide marketing spend, customer acquisition strategies, and performance tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales, BI) to interpret trends, create shared definitions, and ensure data alignment.
- Partner with FP&A leadership to support forecast inputs and scenario planning based on funnel and conversion assumptions.
- Guide process improvements around how lead funnel data is collected, structured, and used in financial planning.
- Synthesize findings into executive-ready insights, dashboards, and presentations that drive financial decisions.
You Have:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a data-focused finance role; SaaS industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics such as CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion, and ROI analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working with large or messy data sets — and turning them into clear, business-relevant insights.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Planful, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain financial implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A knack for influencing others and driving adoption of better data processes across teams.
