Sr. Director, NA Financial Services Solutions

As the Strategic Industry Lead for Financial Services, you will develop and execute our go-to-market strategy for the Financial Services sector. You’ll collaborate closely with NA Enterprise Sales, Product Marketing, and Enablement to deliver thought leadership, drive customer engagement, and support strategic deals that showcase Smartsheet’s value in this highly regulated, rapidly evolving industry.

You will report to the SVP of Sales.  This is a remote eligible position and you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered.

You Will:

  • Develop and own the GTM strategy for the Financial Services sector, with tailored approaches for banking, insurance, and wealth management
  • Lead regional business planning, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing GTM strategy development
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Enablement to create impactful messaging, content, and case studies that support pipeline generation and sales success
  • Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., AI, digital transformation, fintech, cybersecurity) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, FINRA, SEC) to position Smartsheet as a modern solution
  • Deliver clear, compelling value propositions aligned to key industry pain points like compliance, operational efficiency, and customer engagement
  • Support complex enterprise deals from early engagement through close, helping craft pursuit strategies and ensuring alignment with customer needs
  • Build executive-level relationships within key accounts, understanding their challenges and championing Smartsheet as a strategic partner
  • Drive customer engagement by leveraging success stories, testimonials, and measurable ROI outcomes from financial services customers

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience selling into the Financial Services industry, with a strong track record in SaaS or enterprise technology
  • Proven success leading large, complex deals and working directly with C-level executives
  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales processes, including strategic account planning and solution selling
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and risk management priorities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Background in consulting, pre-sales, or solution engineering is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range

$175,000 - $235,000 USD
