Sr. Product Manager, Identity & Authentication (Hybrid in Bangalore)

Bangalore, INDIA

For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped people and teams achieve–well, anything. From seamless work management to smart, scalable solutions, we’ve always worked with flow. We’re building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we’re creating space– space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters. Because when challenge meets purpose, and passion turns into progress, that’s magic at work, and it’s what we show up for everyday.

As a Senior Product Manager for Identity & Authentication, you will own the execution roadmap for all core features related to how enterprise users access and manage their Smartsheet accounts. This includes our mission-critical Single Sign-On (SSO), user provisioning, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) offerings. This role is fundamental to ensuring a secure, compliant, and friction-free user experience for our global customers.

You will act as a key leader for Identity and Access Management (IAM), collaborating closely with engineering, UX, and security teams to deliver highly reliable solutions that integrate seamlessly with major identity providers (IdPs) and meet the stringent security requirements of our enterprise customers.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a strategic thinker who is deeply technical, customer-obsessed, and passionate about solving complex authentication and user lifecycle management challenges at scale.

You Will:

  • Contribute to the long-term vision for Smartsheet’s Identity and Authentication capabilities, including Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA, and secure login experiences
  • Own the execution roadmap for critical IAM features, including integration with major Identity Providers, user provisioning, federated identity, and user lifecycle management
  • Serve as the primary product owner for core authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC), ensuring compliance, reliability, and ease of setup for IT administrators
  • Identify and scope enhancements to existing monetizable features, working with pricing and sales teams to improve the adoption and value of our premium security and identity offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with Security and Platform Engineering teams to drive platform-wide standards for authorization and session management that are scalable and resilient
  • Analyse market trends, competitive offerings, and customer feedback from IT and Security Administrators to inform feature prioritization and optimize the administrative experience
  • Represent identity and authentication product capabilities internally and externally (e.g., with customers and partners), clearly communicating the security, compliance, and usability value of your features
  • Collaborate effectively with and offer informal mentorship to engineering and design team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative product delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You Have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including delivering impactful SaaS or enterprise software solutions
  • 2+ years of direct experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), focusing on B2B authentication, authorization, or user lifecycle management products
  • Proven ability to define and execute feature-level roadmaps for complex and highly technical platform areas
  • Deep technical understanding of core identity protocols (SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), user provisioning standards (SCIM), and security best practices for session management and MFA
  • Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional team collaboration, particularly with platform and security engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on core metrics like successful login rates, setup time, and security feature adoption
  • Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis
  • Fluency in English is required
