Senior Product Manager – People Systems

-REMOTE, USA-

For over 20 years, Smartsheet has empowered teams to manage work seamlessly and scale solutions smarter. Now, in our most ambitious chapter yet, we are uniting human teams with AI agents. By orchestrating the work agents do best, automating manual tasks and uncovering insights at scale, we create the space for people to focus on what truly matters: judgment, creativity, and big thinking. That is magic at work, and it’s what we show up for every day.

Corporate Systems Engineering builds and operates the software platforms, integrations, and automations that power Smartsheet’s core business functions across Finance, Sales/GTM, and People & Culture.  Our team owns mission-critical systems and workflows that enable how the company hires, sells, bills, pays, reports, and scales. We operate at the intersection of software engineering, enterprise platforms, and business-critical data, treating internal systems with the same rigor, reliability, and product mindset as customer-facing software.

Corporate Systems Product Management focuses on the internal platforms that power how Smartsheet operates - including Finance, People, Sales operations, integrations, and internal automation. Product Managers in this team steward system roadmaps, business workflows, and long-term platform evolution across these domains.

As Senior Product Manager I – People Systems, you will own the People systems ecosystem, including Workday, Docebo, People analytics platforms, and the integrations that support the employee lifecycle.  You will partner closely with People & Culture leadership, HR operations, Engineering, and Security teams to ensure People systems evolve to support workforce growth, operational efficiency, and accurate workforce insights.

You will report to the Director of Corporate Systems and collaborate closely with Engineering and business stakeholders across the company.

You Will:

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for the People systems pillar
  • Partner closely with HR and People Operations stakeholders to understand employee lifecycle workflows and operational needs
  • Present your product roadmap quarterly to senior leadership and report on the health of people analytics
  • Steward the evolution of platforms such as Workday, Docebo, Greenhouse and related People analytics tools
  • Ensure reliable integrations between People systems and downstream consumers such as Finance, Identity systems, and analytics platforms
  • Translate workforce processes and operational needs into clear system requirements and prioritization decisions
  • Balance new capabilities with system reliability, data integrity, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with Engineering teams to shape scalable solutions for workforce systems and automation
  • Support initiatives related to People data, reporting, and workforce insights
  • Establish and monitor system health and adoption metrics across the People systems ecosystem
  • Communicate roadmap priorities and system changes clearly to stakeholders and leadership
  • Support governance and lifecycle planning for People platform changes and enhancements

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degree is a plus but not required.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise systems as a Product Manager, Systems Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience working within HRIS or People systems environments
  • Ability to make prioritization calls in an environment where operational risk and workforce impact are always in the equation
  • Show up as a credible partner to both HR and Engineering by understanding the workflows on both sides of the table
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Workday, Docebo, Greenhouse, or similar workforce platforms
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and People operations workflows
  • Experience working with system integrations and workforce data flows
  • Ability to translate business processes into scalable system capabilities
  • Strong prioritization skills and comfort balancing operational needs and technical constraints
  • Strong analytical and both verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
  • Experience enabling People analytics or reporting capabilities is a strong plus
