Here’s what makes this role particularly exciting:

  • Drive Tangible Impact: You’ll lead design initiatives that result in measurable improvements to key user experience and business metrics, directly contributing to product success and helping define these success metrics.

What you will do:

  • Own UX Strategy: You will develop and own the user experience strategy for a defined product area (e.g., Admin Portal, Member Portal). This includes defining user needs, conducting competitive analysis, and aligning with the long-term design vision.
  • Lead Design Initiatives: You will lead design efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle – from discovery and ideation, through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals, to post-launch analysis and iteration.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You will tackle complex design challenges, transforming them into intuitive, accessible, and scalable solutions for web and mobile platforms that align with user needs, business goals, and the overall product vision.
  • Drive Design System Evolution: You will actively contribute to and drive the evolution of our design system. This involves developing and maintaining UI patterns, contributing complex new components, and creating documentation that enhances consistency and efficiency.

  • Collaborate & Influence: You will work closely with product managers to define requirements and with engineers to ensure technical feasibility. You'll effectively articulate design rationale, influence stakeholders, and align cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
  • Measure & Iterate: You will help define and measure product KPIs by conducting usability testing, analyzing user data, and iterating on designs to achieve desired outcomes and improve user experiences.
  • Mentor & Develop: You will provide consistent design direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback to Designers and Associate Designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and amplifying team impact through knowledge sharing.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
