JOB SUMMARY:

The Account Director is the “face” of Snow to the client, reporting to the Associate Vice President/Vice President. This person is ultimately responsible for ensuring that clients’ expectations are being exceeded in regard to the specifications outlined in agreed-upon Statements of Work (SOW). Account Team members, even more so than other team members, must be able to anticipate needs, be influential without authority, and sell the services of Snow at all times. They are responsible for having a good understanding of the brand strategy and marketing goals, as well as an understanding of the clients’ unique skills or gaps in performance and communication. Account Directors must have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must also be able to balance the needs of the clients with the needs of Snow’s business. They must have the ability to quickly build trust and credibility with the clients. They are responsible for communicating the status of an account to their superiors, their peers, and their subordinates. In addition, they are responsible for daily communication with the clients.

Snow’s business is centered around the patient journey, and the Account Director, like all positions at Snow, must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of these patients and caregivers. The Account Director must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Account Director must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:

• Conduct regular meetings with the Account Team
• Maintain close contact with everyone on the team and be aware of all ongoing projects
• Provide support, guidance, and resources as necessary
• Confer with Account Team for internal issue resolutions related to project deliverables
• Review ongoing performance results and identify needs of team members
• Implement coaching or mentoring partnerships as appropriate
• Interview potential team candidates
• Keep VPs apprised of key issues regarding account status
• Manage the workload of the team members assigned to the brand, ensuring that all
tactics contained in the SOW are being executed in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure that all team members understand and are involved with key client expectations
• Review and approve all materials before client review
• Partner and collaborate with Creative Team (in terms of brand strategy) for development
of materials
• Oversee the production and development of marketing materials and procedures for
dissemination
• Recommend appropriate policies regarding pricing, promotion, product and market
evaluations, and marketing strategies
• Supervise client invoicing and budgeting process, Analyze profits and losses
• Develop SOWs for clients
• Analyze business developments and consult trade and marketing journals to monitor
trends and determine opportunities
• Look for opportunities to “upsell” Snow’s programs and services
• Confer and collaborate with VP to develop strategic recommendations to clients
• Manage multiple accounts
• Prepare for and attends strategic planning meetings with clients
• Identify, research, and propose new areas for business growth

Weekend & Night Work:

Although your day-to-day work should primarily take place during regular office hours (8:30 AM– 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday), there will be occasions when you are required to work late into the evening and/or over the weekend.

Flexibility:

The core business hours that you work may change based on business needs, and shifts may change from time to time.

Collaboration/Teamwork:

The size and nature of our company will require that you work in collaboration with people in other departments. Candidates must demonstrate their willingness/ability to step into other roles as needed to drive the success of the company. Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to be contributing members of a team with goals that are broader than an individual job description or function.

Language Skills/Communication:

Candidates must have the ability to read and comprehend general documents relating to the Pharmaceutical/Bio-technology industry that include but are not limited to medical education, medical periodicals, clinical trial data, package inserts, medical procedures, industry regulations, and reimbursement/tax guidelines. Candidates must have the ability to prepare and present business reports and correspondences. Candidates will have demonstrated their ability to effectively and professionally communicate with managers, clients, customers, Ambassadors, and the general public. Working with patients requires the candidates to exercise discretion and
empathy as patients is living with chronic conditions. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.

Travel:

Travel is a fundamental part of the Account Director position. From time to time, it may be necessary to travel to support your team/complete your job tasks. Candidates must be able to fulfill the specific travel requirements of their role. Travel expectation: 25%.

Travel will include, but is not limited to traveling:
• To client/partner locations to attend meetings
• To event locations to provide support/direction
• To shoot locations to provide support/direction

Patient Privacy:

The core of our business is working with patients. It is most likely that you will come in contact with Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients living with chronic conditions. It will be required that you take training courses that include, but are not limited to:
• Snow Policy Training
• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
• Adverse Event (AE) Reporting Training
• US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Training

Computer Skills:

Candidates must have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including:
• Word processors (Word)
• Spreadsheets (Excel)
• Presentation software (PowerPoint)
• Email (Outlook)
• Internet and World Wide Web

Mathematical Skills:

Candidates will have the ability to comprehend and use basic mathematics as well as business
statistics, including percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability:

Account Directors will have the ability to identify and define problems while applying effective problem-solving skills through collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Candidates will have the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Candidates will be capable of applying industry benchmarks to create standardized practices. Candidates selected for the Account Director position are expected to take responsibility for numerous additional tasks, including, but are not limited to:

• Creation of strategic and succinct PowerPoint presentations/Word documents based on
ambiguous and often absent data/information
• Articulation in verbal and written form the capabilities of the corporation and how they
can support clients’ needs
• Effective “selling” of Snow’s services to current and prospective clients

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. In some instances, a passport may be necessary.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and five–seven years of related experience and/or training preferred.

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

$70,000 - $85,000
