Director, Marketing Operations/GTM Engineer

United States (Remote)

SOCi is currently looking for an experienced Director of Marketing Operations/GTM Engineer to be a strategic technical partner to the Marketing, RevOps, Sales and Customer Success teams. This person will design, build and operate the systems, workflows and automation that power SOCi’s go-to-market motions (inbound, outbound, account-based, and multi-location enterprise brand programs). They will bridge the gap between “we want to do X” (marketing/program strategy) and “here’s how we build, automate, measure and scale it”.  In addition this role will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations across marketing execution, lead capture and lead delivery to sales.  This role will also manage our marketing technology stack and our insights driven management systems to help marketers improve demand and lead generation performance.

The ideal candidate is part commercial thinker, part builder.  You approach revenue generation as a design challenge, mapping out customer journeys and building systems that scale rather than simply connecting tools. You are a technology enthusiast who gets excited about diagramming complex processes, can communicate effectively with both executives and SDRs, and instinctively asks 'how can we leverage AI to make this significantly better.  You bring a deep understanding of B2B sales and demand gen, and most importantly, a passion for teamwork and collaboration. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced high growth environment with technology companies, SaaS, or enterprise software.

SOCi expects to pay a base salary in the range of $112,000 - $160,000 USD base plus bonuses/commission. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Map out end-to-end GTM processes (lead generation → sales handoff → onboarding → expansion) and build scalable workflows, integrations and automations to support them.
  • Own/supervise the GTM tech stack: CRM (e.g., Salesforce), MAP (marketing automation platform e.g. Marketo), data warehouse/analytics, enrichment, outreach tools, workflow engines, attribution/measurement.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, lead-routing logic, scoring/qualification models and attribution tracking
  • Automate repetitive manual tasks in marketing operations, sales operations, customer success operations, turning them into scalable systems.
  • Partner with demand generation, customer marketing, product marketing, customer success, RevOps to translate business goals into technical solution design and execution.
  • Monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot GTM process breakdowns (e.g., lead conversion drops, hand-off latency, data sync failures).
  • Develop and maintain documentation of systems, data flows, process diagrams, decision logic.
  • Stay current with automation and integration technologies (e.g., workflow engines, no/low-code, APIs, AI/ML workflows) and identify opportunities to apply them to SOCi’s go-to-market engine.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product and operations teams to ensure data integrity, scalability, compliance (e.g., data governance, privacy/regulation).
  • Provide reporting and insights: measurement of key metrics (pipeline velocity, funnel conversion, cost per lead/acquisition, ROI of programs), and propose improvements.
  • Manage and mentor junior operations/automation resources and help build a culture of “systems first” thinking in marketing and go-to-market teams.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Remote Opportunity: Ability to work 100% remotely
  • Must Have:
    • 5+ years of marketing operations, sales operations, or strategy experience, preferably in a B2B, SaaS high-growth marketing environment.
    • Strong technical fluency: experience with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc), marketing automation, workflow/automation tools (Zapier, n8n, Workato, etc), and integration of systems.
    • Experience building or managing data pipelines, using SQL (or equivalent) to pull/transform/report data; familiarity with APIs, data modelling.
    • Demonstrated commercial mindset: understands how marketing/automation drives revenue; comfortable working with sales/marketing leadership and asking “what’s the business outcome” not just “how do we build it”.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to handle ambiguity, break down complex process challenges, prioritise trade-offs and iterate.
    • Strong communication skills: able to explain technical workflows to non-technical stakeholders; able to diagram systems and walk through logic; comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales and engineering.
    • Self-starter with a hacker-/builder-mindset: enjoys automating, optimizing, tinkering with new tools; adapts quickly to change.
    • Ability to build partnerships and collaborate across lines of businesses
    • Willing to adapt to changes in the job description as deemed necessary by the business and accept all other duties as assigned
  • Desired Skills (but not required):
    • Experience in AI/automation frameworks, multi-location enterprise go-to-market models, and scaling operations in a SaaS business.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
