About the Role
The Director of Health Systems Partnerships is responsible for driving all revenue-generating activities within SonderMind’s Health Systems business line. This includes acquiring new health system partners, expanding wallet share with existing partners, and leading the ongoing success and retention of those relationships. You will set the strategic direction and lead execution across the partner lifecycle, from pipeline development through onboarding and long-term performance management.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that combines go-to-market strategy, operational execution, and team development. You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Care Coordination teams to design scalable systems that help our partners succeed and ensure patients receive timely access to high-quality mental health care.
What you’ll do
Partnership Strategy & Execution
- Own revenue and growth targets for the Health Systems line of business
- Execute the Health Systems growth strategy across primary care, specialty care, and integrated delivery networks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with health system stakeholders—from referral coordinators to clinical executives
- Design and optimize partnership onboarding workflows, conversion funnels, and referral pathways
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics (e.g., referral yield, client growth, partner satisfaction)
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of account executives, partner managers, and in-market representatives
- Set clear goals and success metrics at both the individual and team level
- Provide mentorship and support to help team members grow professionally and hit performance targets
- Foster a culture of ownership, execution, and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Oversee execution of acquisition and retention plans—managing both local and virtual team efforts
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, Clinical Ops, and Care Coordination to ensure smooth onboarding, service delivery, and referral workflows
- Serve as a voice of the customer, identifying opportunities for new solutions, workflows, marketing approaches, analytics, and tooling
- Lead feedback loops with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and partner satisfaction
What does success look like?
- Consistent quarter-over-quarter growth in referrals and new active clients from Health System partners
- Strong partner retention and satisfaction, with clear ROI delivered to referring organizations
- Scalable, repeatable playbooks for onboarding and managing Health System relationships
- A trusted, data-informed voice in shaping SonderMind’s broader enterprise strategy
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, provider relations, or business development. Digital health, healthcare services, or health systems experience preferred
- Demonstrated success managing partnerships with large health systems or provider groups
- Strong cross-functional operator who thrives in fast-paced, execution-oriented environments
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, comfortable engaging both executive and clinical stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, highly adaptable, and energized by building in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Data-driven decision maker who can tie strategy to measurable outcomes
- Passion for mental health and healthcare transformation
Our Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $145,000-$165,000. In addition to base compensation, this role is also eligible to participate in our variable bonus and equity plan.
