Software Development Engineer in Test Intern - Masters

About the Team:
Are you passionate about test automation and eager to apply your skills in a real-world environment? We're looking for motivated, proactive interns to join our full-stack team. As an SDET intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on both new and existing features across multiple platforms and devices, helping to ensure the quality of our automation and test frameworks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in developing and executing quality engineering tasks, including building test plans and test cases to ensure feature quality.
- Help design automation testing strategies, including API and UI testing.
- Contribute to solutions that improve automation infrastructure.
- Review product requirements and technical designs to help develop effective testing strategies for PlayStation consoles.
- Support the building, maintaining, and improving of test automation frameworks.
- Report, track, and verify defects, and monitor automation jobs.
- Collaborate with distributed teams on multi-functional test plan designs and executions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a Master’s degree, with an expected graduation by Spring 2026
- Familiarity with testing APIs, libraries, SDKs, application frameworks, or native applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a passion for software testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience or coursework related to developing test code or scripting for game consoles or set-top boxes.
- Experience developing applications (extra bonus for game development experience).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
- Experience or familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Docker.
- Exposure to UI automation tools such as Selenium or Appium.
- Familiarity with modern web frameworks, especially React.
- Knowledge of version control (especially Git) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or CircleCI.
- A passion for gaming!
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$54 - $54 USD
