As a UX/UI Design Lead, you will drive the UX of an Unannounced Project from prototype to production, from early technical planning and user flows, playtesting and tweaking the UI of the shipping game. Most importantly, you will work with a fun, dedicated, and passionate cross-discipline team devoted to turning a creative dream into a new franchise at PlayStation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uphold the vision of the game by understanding its product needs and player needs through working directly with the Game Director.
  • Develop a UI that supports the gameplay, social, and economy systems, through collaboration with Design Leads
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to capture the look and feel of the user interface
  • Deliver functional wireframe specs, user flow diagrams, information architecture, interactive prototypes and more to drive alignment on UX/UI vision to cross-functional teammates.
  • Build development roadmaps that include usability validation at scale by partnering with analytics and user research
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to UX/UI best practices through documentation and design pillars
  • Build a UX/UI team, including hiring, exdev management, developing milestones, and guiding teams

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience leading or directly supporting leadership in an ongoing live service game
  • Expert ability to create functional prototypes and accompanying technical documentation
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Strong understanding of design and user-center principles
  • Embrace a "we" culture in addition to being an outstanding collaborator and communicator

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience with building across a variety of platforms (PC, Console, Mobile)
  • Experience with global gaming markets and the competitive gaming/esports landscape
  • Experience with multiplayer genres
  • Familiarity with development using Unreal Engine

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$172,000 - $258,000 USD
