Our team is looking for a Data Scientist to help us chart a course in the world of Personalisation here at PlayStation. We are on a mission to deliver world-class Personalised experiences across the PlayStation Network, and we need your help to ensure we pursue this goal with a data-driven approach, intelligent data products, and robust experimentation plans. If you are curious, analytical, and love digging into data, we want you on our team.

This role will be based out of Dublin, Ireland, working closely with our many other teams and individuals who support Personalisation out of the UK and North America.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the analytical and measurement efforts within the Personalisation program, helping define how we evaluate the success of new experiences, systems, and features
  • Embed with our engineering teams, learning about our platform, and searching for insights that will provide guidance on how we develop our products with a data-first approach
  • Design, execute, and analyse A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of personalisation strategies and feature changes.
  • Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of machine learning models and content strategy through offline and online metrics, surfacing insights and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop frameworks for attribution, forecasting, and causal inference that help quantify impact across the personalisation pipeline.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and design teams to bring a data-first perspective to product development and iteration.
  • Work with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure reliable, consistent access to high-quality data needed for experimentation and analysis.
  • Communicate analytical results and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy and vision for personalisation by shaping how we define success and continuously learn from data.

What we're looking for:

  • A degree, or equivalent experience, in Statistics, Computer or Data Science, Mathematics, Analytics, or similar
  • At least 5-8+ of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a similar field, ideally in a product-focused, consumer-facing commerce environment.
  • Proven experience designing and analysing controlled experiments, and interpreting results with statistical rigor
  • Deep curiosity and a passion for learning and discovery
  • Familiarity with causal inference techniques and experimental bias correction.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and data manipulation.
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data and clearly communicate them to cross-functional stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with personalisation systems or e-commerce metrics is a plus
