Role overview:

We are seeking individuals passionate about our brand and dedicated to combating fraud. The ideal candidate will possess a high sense of integrity and excel at building positive relationships. Our team collaborates with cross-functional internal teams to lead and drive multiple simultaneous strategic projects aimed at fraud mitigation.

We need team members with a thorough understanding of online fraud, the motivations behind fraudulent activities, and the creativity to anticipate and counteract fraudulent attempts with scaled approaches. The person in this role will be a domain specialist in fraud.

Your primary responsibilities include providing strategic fraud knowledge, building effective day-to-day relationships with multiple teams to facilitate the delivery of multiple strategic fraud projects, and providing thought leadership to the industry. You will collaborate cross-functionally with multiple worldwide business units and outside 3rd parties to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their involvement, goals, expectations, tasks, and timelines.
 

What you'll be doing:

  • Defines strategic product and technology vision, evolution of the fraud services strategy, vision, roadmap, and technologies
  • Translates customer needs into well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the fraud landscape
  • Articulates the customer experience and impact on fraud detection and prevention activities through a customer-first approach
  • Tracks evolving fraud and abuse and implements strategies to mitigate current and emerging trends
  • Identifies key areas for improvement in the fraud platform and incorporates these goals into ongoing & future development initiatives
  • Establishes business cases and projected value to prioritize opportunities
  • Drives relationships and strategic alliances with groups and companies across the industry
  • Evaluates, recommends, and onboards new products to complement current capabilities
  • Defines fraud metrics and provides regular reports on the fraud and vendor performance

 

What we're looking for:

  • 12+ years of experience in online fraud risk mitigation
  • 6+ years of risk and fraud product management experience
  • Advanced Problem-Solving: Apply extensive experience, diverse resources, and sophisticated strategies to tackle complex, cross-functional fraud prevention challenges effectively
  • Accountable Leadership: Take ownership of team, group, and organizational goals, driving successful outcomes with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to fraud prevention excellence.
  • Proactive and Impact-Focused: Demonstrate a passion for exploration, a relentless drive to achieve goals, and a focus on delivering measurable results
  • Clear Communication: Articulate complex fraud and technology concepts with clarity and situational awareness, effectively engaging diverse audiences to advance fraud prevention goals
  • Collaborative Engagement: Communicate consistently with trust and respect, building strong, productive relationships with internal teams and external partners to advance fraud prevention goals
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Build effective relationships at all levels, collaborating seamlessly with culturally diverse and geographically remote teams to drive fraud prevention success
  • Persuasive Storytelling: Craft clear, compelling narratives that boost engagement, clarify objectives, and inspire alignment on fraud prevention goals
  • Data Fluency: Leverage prior analyst experience to deeply understand and interpret complex data, generating actionable insights for effective fraud prevention strategies.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent

Preferred skills:
 

  • Prior work with online payment systems
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and processes
  • Familiarity with digital media software and networking technologies, especially those related to Sony’s products, services, and devices
  • Japanese language skills

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$225,600 - $338,400 USD
