The Compliance Testing team ensures that every game meets the technical, policy, and platform standards required for a high-quality player experience on PlayStation and PC. Working closely with developers, QA teams, and publishing partners, we focus on identifying and resolving potential issues early in the development cycle. Our team combines deep platform knowledge with a passion for quality to support smooth, timely game releases that align with PlayStation’s commitment to excellence.
Compliance Tester
As a Compliance Tester, you will be responsible for verifying that game titles meet all technical and policy-based requirements for release across PlayStation and PC platforms. You will develop deep knowledge of compliance requirements and act as a subject matter expert on your assigned titles.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for testing to assure complete compliance on your assigned projects.
- Provides TRC Subject Matter Expertise to studio partners
- Acquires in depth knowledge of all technical requirements and policies across PlayStation and PC platforms
- Learns and understands all existing and future submission requirements
- Actions pre-defined test cases, in addition to confirmation, regression and exploratory testing, to fully understand how compliant a product is against the submission requirements.
- Assess and communicates the current level of compliance on a product to all relevant partners and raise product risk accordingly.
- Acts as the Compliance subject matter expert on selected titles
- Collaborates as part of a global compliance testing team to design and execute bespoke compliance testing strategies, ensuring consistency and best practices across regions
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong passion for games
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking setup and hardware, as well as how its principles and components apply to modern console, PC, and mobile gaming/functionality
- Ability to work in both an individual and team environment
- Flexible schedule
- Prior experience in compliance or QA testing
- Familiarity with software development and QA lifecycle
- PC game testing and platform compliance experience (e.g., Steam, Epic)
Bonus Advantages
- 1+ years of experience in QA or a related field
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in any related field
- ISQTB® Foundation Level (or equivalent) preferred
- Proficient in using Ms. Office apps
