Location:
San Mateo, CA (Hybrid*)

The Global Marketing Sales and Business Operations (GMSBO) team brings together staff from around the world, with a passion for engaging gamers with PlayStation’s extraordinary products and services. GMSBO teams are located in countries across the globe, balancing local relevance with a global perspective. Across our Direct to Consumer, Channel Partners, and Services business, our teams work cross-functionally to bring the best of the PlayStation experience to markets and channels around the world.

We’re looking for a dynamic, self-directed, and highly motivated Manager to join the PlayStation Services team that runs PlayStation Plus – the world’s largest game subscription service with over 47M subscribers (as of March 2023). This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the PlayStation Plus services team to contract and operationally coordinate hundreds of games joining PlayStation Plus each year.  The successful candidate will have a positive impact on players, our publishing partners and PlayStation, working closely with other teammates in the PlayStation Plus Content Acquisition team and across a matrixed global organization.

This role underpins our ability to delight millions of PlayStation Plus players, while helping make PlayStation the best possible partner for publishers. A player-centric mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent organization skills are a must – allowing you to operate cross-functionally and execute brilliantly, while understanding the trade-offs required of the role. The ideal candidate will develop subject matter expertise, enjoy solving problems in creative ways, and work with others to deliver consistently high-quality work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Reporting into the Manager of Content Operations, you’ll support Content Operations as part of a close-knit global team, while working with many teams in a matrixed organization across all operational aspects of content acquisition and implementation
  • Receive deal terms from the Content Acquisition team and coordinate the contracting process for all games on PlayStation Plus, working closely with Legal, Account Management, and Accounting, among others
  • Raise POs, confirm payment terms, and escalate issues accordingly
  • Coordinate the operational setup and removal of games on PS Plus under pressing deadlines – working primarily with Ops, Product, Marketing, Customer Engagement, and Customer Service teams
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of platform logic and proactively research game info and disposition in PlayStation’s back-end publishing system – cross-referencing data from multiple sources – to ensure compatibility with the service, confirm publishing and testing status, make recommendations for alterations, and follow-up on implementation
  • Track, manage, and amortize content deals to ensure all operational trackers are always up to date and accurate
  • Advocate relentlessly for a consistent, intuitive user experience

What we're looking for:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in program/project management or operational roles, ideally with experience of working with Legal teams to draft contracts
  • An extraordinary teammate who can identify and cultivate key relationships, ideally in an international or remote working structure
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clarity and lead cross-functional teams
  • A rigorous approach and persistent attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the digital gaming landscape is a nice-to-have, but not essential

As you will be working closely with global and local teams, international travel and calls involving late and early hours due to time zone differences may be required.
