Would you like to help us ensure the quality of world-class mobile applications used by millions of users? Join the team building innovative test solutions for mobile platforms, where your work directly impacts app performance, stability, and the overall user experience.

SIE has a great opportunity within the Quality Engineering organization! We are looking for a motivated and creative Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help define mobile test strategy and build automation that drives quality across our iOS mobile application ecosystem.

As a Senior SDET, you’ll work hands-on with our mobile applications—designing and implementing automation using Python and Appium, running tests on simulators and cloud device platforms, and partnering with development and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient, stable, and reliable mobile releases. We are a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering scalable test coverage across mobile platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead end-to-end mobile application testing efforts, including defining test strategies, writing test plans, identifying test scenarios, and ensuring comprehensive coverage across new and existing features.
  • Review product requirements, UX flows, high-level system designs, and architecture diagrams to design robust and scalable testing approaches for iOS applications.
  • Design and develop mobile automation frameworks using Python, Appium, and modern testing libraries to support functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Execute manual and automated tests on iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
  • File clear, actionable bugs supported by logs, steps, and failure data, and drive them to resolution with engineering teams.
  • Support triaging application issues by working closely with developers—analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and validating fixes.
  • Build and maintain API test frameworks to support mobile interactions with backend services, including mocking dependencies and validating microservice integrations.
  • Drive quality improvements by identifying gaps, suggesting tooling or process enhancements, and increasing automation depth and breadth across the mobile application stack.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable continuous validation of mobile builds.
  • Collaborate in an agile, distributed environment with engineering, product, architecture, QA, and operations teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in UI, API, and end-to-end testing, with significant hands-on experience testing iOS mobile applications.
  • Expertise in Python, Appium, and mobile automation standard methodologies.
  • Experience performing tests on iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the mobile application release lifecycle, including build pipelines, distribution (TestFlight), versioning, and release validation.
  • Strong coding fundamentals in Python(preferred) or JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with testing frameworks/tools such as pytest, WebdriverIO, or Playwright..
  • Experience building and maintaining Test pipelines and automation infrastructure (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with a high sense of ownership.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across globally distributed teams.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have:

If you bring any of these, we’d love to hear about them!

  • Prior experience with PlayStation® SDK development.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with PlayStation products and games.
